Description

A country oak bureau with a lovely patination. Honey coloured oak. Stepped interior with a well, two semi concealed secret drawers. Thin oak lined drawers, bracket feet, the wooden knobs are later but are in keeping with this charming bureau and are themselves now a great colour. The drawer dividers and the top edge of the bureau have original double, applied mouldings. The small proportions and age of this piece, at only 78cm and dating from around 1720 make it a rare item.
