Possible free delivery please enquire about this superb antique william 1v mahogany bow front secretaire bookcase and dating form aorund 1820. It has a reeded cornice above a cross banded frieze with arched moulding and two astragal glazed doors with ivory escutcheon and three internal fixed shelves. The base with rounded edge to the top above a panelled frieze and a long deep drawer front with two moulded panels and opens to reveal a superb rosewood fronted interior with a central door flanked on either side by a secret bookend drawer all with brass inlay with pigeon holes to either side and a row of four small drawers all of which are oak lined with small ivory knob handles and all above a central letter compartment with small drawer to either side. It has a green baise writing surface with secret hidden well (photos available). Below the secretaire are three graduating drawers all of which are oak lined and with original turned knob handles to each side is a turned and fluted half column which continues to the carved foot.

A superb william 1v secretaire bookcase of quality and in very good condition and with a lovely colour and deep patination to the mahogany.

The top separates for ease of transporting.
