Quality Victorian Mahogany Antique Secretaire Chest

This Quality 19th Century Victorian Mahogany Antique Scottish Secretaire Chest dates from ca. 1850 and has a beautiful cross banded figured top above a deep drawer with turned handles. The interior has a folding front with brass mechanism; it has a green baize writing surface, several small drawers, pigeon holes and central cupboard door. Below are two beautifully figured doors with spectacular turned columns and the interior has a deep drawer with unusual pull out brass handles. This quality secretaire stands on turned reeded feet, has aged to a warm Mahogany shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
