Castleforge Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1750s.
To either side of this are three pigeon holes and shaped frieze above two short drawers over one long drawer all of which are oak lined and with brass knob handles. To the base there are four long graduating drawers all of which are oak lined and with georgian brass handles (although we feel not original to the actual chest). It is moulded to the base and stands on bracket feet.
In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the oak oozing the charm and character of teh georgian period.
Measures: 43" high X knee height 31" X 20" deep X 40" wide
