Welsh Oak Bureau on Stand, Circa 1760

Description

Rare style of Welsh bureau on stand of desirable small size, made of heavy native oak, the top section with a panelled fall-front enclosing a fitted stepped interior with well, with a drawer below, over a base section with a drawer and raised on front cabriole legs terminating in simple ball feet and square rear legs.

Good colour and surface.

Brecknockshire/ Radnorshire circa 1760.

(Old restoration: some patches and significant replaced parts to interior)
