Description

An early 18th Century walnut bureau. The cross banded top having herring bone inlay above the sloping fall which has conforming inlay and banding with cross grain mouldings and brass escutcheon. The fall opens to reveal a shaped and stepped interior with 4 oak lined concave drawers, 8 pigeonholes and a centre door with working lock & key. The well slides back to a useful storage area and the fall with brass hinges and working lock & key. The lower section having 2 short over 2 long drawers all having feather banding and pierced brass handles with brass escutcheons.The stiles with cross grain mouldings, oak linings throughout and the whole raised on off set bracket feet. Dimensions:- Height…38.5’’/ 98cm. Width…37’’/ 94cm. Depth…21’’/ 53cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £55.
