Lovely antique george 111 oak bureau and dating from 1784. The cross banded fall front opens to reveal a very nice interior with small central door and a secret bookend drawer to each side flanked by a row of three drawers all of which are oak lined with original small knob handles. One of the drawers has the incised date of 1784. To the base there are two small drawers to each side (acting as lopers to the fall front) with a long drawer to the centre and three long graduating drawers all of which are oak lined and with later brass handles and escutcheons. It is moulded to the base and stands on bracket feet.
