A fine example of a Welsh 18th-century fruitwood open plate back dresser. Original and with a very pleasing tabletop patina. This open plate back dresser with three rows to dress below flowing curved and pierced frieze and cornice, a row of original cup hooks. Below a three drawer bench dresser. Original oval plate drop handles and escutcheon covers. Superb proportions condition and honest as they come. The colour in this dresser has a deep warm calming and very pleasing hue. Never disrespected or used with contempt but centuries of a life lived with owners who always appreciated the charm of this piece.
