Description

Good quality large mahogany kneehole rolltop writing desk raised on plinth base.

Coming in two sections for ease of movement. No screws required, top sits securely into original dowels.

Upper section with tambour rolltop front (no locking key). Opening to reveal fitted interior and leather top writing surface.

Lower one piece base section with twin upper pull out slides and easy opening front storage drawer. Side opening drawers having original brass handles. Lower right hand double file drawer.

Kneehole section with rear twin opening panel front cupboard doors revealing storage area with removable shelf. The recessed cupboard area is useful additional storage for paper, files or as a hidden location for valuables.

Polished on all sides with good panelled back, making this desk suitable for sitting in the centre of a room, study, office or shop.

Original polish finish. Circa 1850
