Description

A small early 18th Century bureau constructed from beautifully figured walnut veneers. The cross banded and subtle chevron inlaid fall with shaped brass escutcheon. The baise lined fall opens to reveal a well flitted interior consisting of 6 pigeonholes, 4 short and 2 long drawers with axe head handles and central door all inlaid with boxwood stringing. The 4 graduated and cross banded drawers all with conforming chevron inlay and brass handles and escutcheons. The whole raised on a cross grain off set moulding and shaped bracket feet. Condition - fully restored in our own workshops. Dimensions:- Height…39.5’’/ 100cm. Width….31.5’’/ 80cm. Depth… 18.25’’/ 46.5cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £60
