An unusual and very good quality walnut and mahogany inlaid French escritiore. The white veined marble top having a good quality pierced brass gallery above the concave and inlaid walnut frieze. The fall front having a black ground Chinoiserie panel with raised gilded and painted decoration. The fall opens to reveal a well fitted interior with various pigeonholes and 4 leather faced mahogany lined drawers each having a brass ring pull. The fall lined with a green leather writing surface with blind & gold tooling. The sides and stiles having attractive figured walnut inlaid panels with 4 inlaid and cross banded supporting columns with joining pierced brass galleried under shelf, the whole raised on shaped sleigh feet with further inlay.
