This stunning French Inlaid Secretaire Abbatant, comprising of three drawers along with a drop-down writing flap is a joy to admire from many angles. With not a straight line anywhere, and the shaping being very pronounced, only emphasized by the shaped ormolu mounts that adorn it, it is a piece of furniture sculpture.

Generously decorated in floral marquetry panels, showcased by the rich contrasting Kingwood crossbanding, that emphasize the fine quality mounts. The interior, finished in Maple has three small drawers, with the writing area being lined in a dark red tooled hide.

A very well veined marble top finishes off the piece. The three larger drawers are all oak lined, a sign of good quality. This Secretaire can only be described as a statement piece for any room, and is sure to attract much attention wherever placed.
