Superb Antique Georgian Country Oak Bureau Desk C1780 E4.1wdb180/18.12

This is a lovely antique george 111 country oak bureau and dating from aorund 1780. It has a pierced brass escutcheon to the fall front which opens to reveal a row of eight pigeon holes with shaped frieze above one long drawer to the centre with open compartment below and to either side of which are two small drawers. To the base there two short drawers above three long graduating drawers all of which are pine lined with original brass handles brass key escutcheons . It is moulded to the base and stands on bracket feet.

It is in very good condition and it oozes the charm and character of the georgian period. It has a lovely deep colour and original patination to the oak and I am sure that whoever buys this will be very pleased with their purchase.

Measurements: 42" high X knee height 30" X 20" deep X 39" wide
