The doors open to reveal the interior which has 3 walnut faced and fully adjustable shelves. The bureau having a cross banded and feather banded fall which opens to a very good shaped and fitted interior with 9 drawers, small cupboard and 6 pigeon holes.The interior also benefits from retaining the original shaped brown leather writing surface and lock with keys. The lower section having 3 drawers with cross banding, feather banding and brass handles all arranged to form a shaped kneehole. This attractive bureau bookcase is raised on tall cabriole legs with shell carving to the knees and ball and claw feet.
