Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Topographical watercolour painting in Ireland focused on documenting specific geographic landscapes, architectural ruins, and coastal views with accuracy. Artists captured historical sites such as castles in natural light to preserve regional heritage and scenic topography.

Artists utilised water-soluble pigments applied in transparent washes onto woven or cotton rag paper. These works relied on the reflective qualities of the white paper base beneath layers of colour to create luminosity.

Authentication relies on verifying the signature, date, and brushwork technique characteristic of the artist. Examination of paper stock, natural aging patterns, and documented provenance further confirms authenticity.

Position the framed artwork on a neutral feature wall above a mantelpiece or sideboard paired with natural timber furniture. Ensure the frame colour complements the secondary tones within the painting.

Store and display watercolours away from direct sunlight and high humidity to prevent fading and foxing. Frame the paper behind UV-filtering glass using acid-free mounting materials to protect the pigments.
