Description

1920's English Oak Bureau Bookcase

A well proportioned, two part oak bureau bookcase, most probably by Heals of London. The top glazed door bookcase has two fixed shelves inside and features chip carved decorations to the top edge and sides. The bureau chest base stands on square legs with a connecting, flat platform stretcher. The fall front bureau is over two, graduating drawers that have the original, semi circular oak handles. In very good condition, solid oak which is a good, even pale colour.
