The whole made from good figured mahogany with satinwood banding throughout. The bookcase section having a swan neck pediment with inlaid patrae above a dentil frieze, the 2 glazed doors with large oval astragal glazing bars with inlaid central patraes. The doors open to reveal a polished interior with 3 adjustable mahogany shelves, each inlaid with boxwood stringing. The bureau section having 4 graduated drawers, all retaining their original brass swan neck handles and escutcheons. The fall opens to reveal a well fitted interior consisting of 8 shaped pigeon holes, 4 inlaid drawers with brass pulls and a small centre cupboard. The whole raised on ogee bracket feet, mahogany linings and working brass locks and keys. Condition - very very good. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £55.
