Description

An attractive and good quality burr walnut and inlaid bureau cabinet. The top with 2 small display cabinets each with brass galleries and mounts. The central, shaped mirror with inlaid and cross banded drawer below. The bureau base with good burr walnut and boxwood inlay. The fall opens to reveal a rosewood interior with 3 pigeon holes and 3 shaped drawers, each with kingwood cross banding and gilded brass handles. In front of the centre drawer is a boxwood lined slide which allows access to the well. The writing area to have a replaced coloured leather of your choice with blind and gold tooling. The whole standing on tall tapering cabriole legs with brass sabots, beading and mounts. This bureau de dame retains all the brass gilded mounts, beading, escutcheons and sabots and with working locks and keys. Overall inlaid with subtle boxwood inlay and kingwood cross banding. The cabinets lined with burgundy coloured velvet. In very good condition with a wonderful deep rich patina. Check out and compare our price.
