Description

An attractive mahogany cylinder bureau from the renowned manufacturer/retailer Maple & Co Ltd c1900 in good overall original condition. Beautiful flame mahogany veneers to the front and top with band/line inlay to top, front, side, legs and stretcher. Original gallery rail to top along with original working locks. Internally it is well fitted including 6 small drawers with satinwood fronts and partitions for stationery. Still has its well used inkwells together with ink stains! Old shrinkage crack by inkwells but this does not detract from its good looks. Green leather writing surface in good order. Dimensions: width 31ins(79cms) x depth 21ins(53cms) x height 42ins(107cms).
