Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1930s.
This is a good, clean example of an English oak bureau by Heals of London in the thirties. The bureau features two long drawers with pull out lopers which support the writing fall. It stands on square legs which are connected by a H stretcher. The circular, Heals of London makers label can be found, inset into a drawer top. In excellent, original condition.
