Description

18C Figured Walnut Herringbone Banded Bureau. The top having 4 mirrored panels of figured veneer within herring bone banded crossbanded frame again with herringbone banding. The fall with the conforming veneers and bandings opening to a stepped interior of 6 pigeon holes over 3 oak lined drawers with herringbone outline bandings and brass knob handles. All flanked by pigeon holes over scrolled front drawers stepped down to straight drawer. Leather inset writing panel to fall. Two short oak lined drawers over 3 long. The short drawers with brass escutcheons only the long with replaced brass shaped plate handles. All drawers having feather banded outlines. The moulded base on shaped bracket feet.
