Description

An attractive Queen Anne / George I oak bureau having 4 graduated and moulded edge drawers each with shaped brass handles and escutcheons with working locks and keys. The fall retaining the original book rest opening to an attractive stepped interior and a well with sliding top, 6 drawers, pigeon holes and fret drawers. There are 2 secret compartments concealed below 2 drawers ( see photo) and the centre arch panelled cupboard door opens with a lock and key and conceals 2 sprung catches which release the tall applied column drawers (see last photo). The whole standing on the original offset shaped bracket feet, the interior drawers are oak lined, the long drawers are pine lined and the original backing is oak and held in place with old hand cut nails. All locks are present, working and with keys.

Sizes - Width 36'' / 92cm. Depth 20.5'' / 52cm. Height 39.75'' / 101cm. Delivery to most of U.K. Mainland £65.
