Quality Solid Mahogany Country Georgian Antique Bureau

This Quality Solid Mahogany Country Georgian Antique Bureau circa, 1790 has a beautifully figured fall front with banded edge. Once opened the interior comprises of a central cupboard door, four secret sliding drawers and eight smaller drawers all with boxwood string inlay. The lower section has two over three graduating oak lined cock beaded drawers with re instated period brass decorative swan neck handles. The corners are reeded and this delightful antique stands on shaped ogee bracket feet and is full of the charm and character that you would expect to find from a true antique. The mahogany has aged to a medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
