A wonderful example of a Georgian Bureau in superb untouched condition. The bureau stands on the original shaped bracket feet and has four long drawers all with the original swan neck handles. The interior is finely fitted with pigeon holes, a central cupboard and many little drawers, all in flame mahogany with boxwood and ebony stinging. The bureau is in solid Cuban mahogany with oak linings and although simple in design is of the best quality. The bureau is completely original and has a wonderful rich warm colour and patina. There is a very minor issue with a slight warp in the lid meaning it has to be pushed in to lock. C.1770.
