Bureau Bookcase Liberty and Co Arts and Crafts 'The Moreton' Oak C1907

Here we have a wonderful original Oak arts and crafts bureau bookcase by Liberty and Co c1907. As you can see the bureau has super colour and patina. This particular bookcase is named 'The Moreton' and was one of three the others being 'The Chaucer' and 'The Drayton'. The bureau retains the original copper handles exclusive to Liberty's. They correspond with the handles in the Liberty's book with the stamped Rd number (photographed). The bureau is solid Oak throughout and has carefully selected timbers showing Medullary rays in the grain. The top gallery has peirced heart shape motifs which leads to an open shelf with further smaller shelves to the side. The shelf beneath the bureau is adjustable. The fall front has a fielded panel and original working lock and key. Internally there is a work surface and pigeon holes. A fantastic period bureau bookcase by a great retailer in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 36 inches wide 50 high and 15 deep.
