C1900 English Rosewood Bureau De Dame

Description

Circa 1900 English rosewood bureau de dame (ladies writing desk) of small proportions in the French taste. Wonderful craftsmanship with floral fruitwood and boxwood marquetry inlay to fall front and below, and line inlay to rest of piece.

Wonderful rosewood grain.

Interior with 5 pigeon holes, 3 fitted and inlaid drawers, and rare hidden sliding covered well. New antique leather writing surface to interior. Gilt metal pierced gallery to top, and ormolu detail to top and bottom of graceful curved legs. Beautifully and professionally polished on all sides, allowing central room placement if desired.. A lovely unusual and useful piece, with beautiful colour, in excellent condition, and with key.

26.5 inches wide by 19 inches deep by 36 inches high.
