Exceptional quality George II style walnut writing bureau c.1920. Useful small size, being just 25" wide. Fall front writing surface with fitted interior of pigeon holes and stationery drawers with a small lockable recess and two hidden compartments. Over two short drawers and one long and raised on tapering turned legs with carved detail to the ‘knees’ (both front and rear) and ending in a neat little pad foot. Beautiful matched walnut veneers with herringbone pattern inlays and a crossbanded edge to the top, fall and drawer fronts. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied.
