Late 19th Century French marquetry bonheur de jours writing desk, bureau or table. This is a lovely quality piece, that is full of age, charm and character. Solid, heavy and with no loose joints....a very rare find. Beautiful colour and patina. The mahogany lined drawers slide freely (some internal staining as one would expect).

As with all genuine antique furniture, you can expect to see some historic knocks, marks, wear, imperfections, cracks, scratches, repairs and/or alterations. No keys and the locks are consequently untested. Some extinct wood worm holes that we have treated for good measure. Some veneer imperfections and chips (mainly around the bottom edge, mostly filled/repaired historically).

Overall maximum dimensions: 82cm wide, 49cm deep, 94cm high (70>74 high writing surface).
