Antique Victorian Mahogany Secrétaire Bookcase

A super quality Victorian mahogany secrétaire bookcase dating to the mid Victorian period. With a high moulded cornice above a pair of glazed doors enclosing four adjustable shelves (one shelf not shown). The secrétaire drawer fitted with four satinwood drawers with turned handles, four pigeon holes and original green tooled leather writing surface. The two panelled doors flanked by acanthus carved scrolling corbels and opening to reveal a cupboard with shelf, all standing on a plinth base.

With excellent colour and patina, supplied with a working key to the upper and lower doors, top quality long brass catch to the top of the left glazed door. In very good original condition with minor small nibbles to veneer edges included a small piece from the bottom of the left glazed door, some fading to sides, leather with ink mark and worn through at the fold.
