Georgian Mahogany Bureau C.1800.

Description

Fine example of the classic Georgian mahogany writing bureau c.1800. Useful small dimensions, less than three feet wide. Flame mahogany fall opens to reveal a good fitted interior of small drawers and pigeon holes, with shaped drawer fronts and a secret drawer hidden in the moulding above the centre cupboard. Two over three drawers in base. Oak drawer linings and loafers. Some earlier repairs to the fall and top, otherwise very good condition and particularly good colour. Period replacement handles, original bracket feet.

Dimensions: width 34", depth 21", height 41".
