Bureau George III Oak Only 36 Inches Wide

Here we have a stunning George III Oak bureau c1770. As you can see the bureau has a lovely mellow colur and patina. There are super revealed dovetails to the the sides of the top. The fall front has a super thumb moulded edge and retains its original lock, key and escutcheon. The thumb moulding is replicated on all the drawer fronts which again retain all their original and wonderful handles and escutcheons. The interior has a beautiful tooled and gilded leather skiver and an arrangement of drawers with Elm linings. The bureau sits on its original bracket feet which again have revealed dovetail joints. A superb original honest peice of great proportions and in fantastic retail condition. The dimensions are approx 36 inches wide 42 high and 19 deep.
