The Antique Partnership has dated this piece to the 1750s.
Central locking cupboard with paneled door and original brass escutcheon. The main front drawers have had a sucession of handles the shadows of which can be seen behind the current antiqued modern brass pulls with are of the correct design for the period of the piece.As with walnut pieces of this period it would be unusual if there were no evidence of woodworm. In this case the sides and feet have been attacked over the years and is now long dead, both have taken on a good patina. Original iron locks to the drawers.
