Georgian Antiques has dated this piece to the 1750s.
The mouldings on the panels have cut out corners and are aesthetically very pleasing. Behind the doors are 3 adjustable shelves. Below this, the bureau has a large rectangular flap with crossbanding similar to the top. This opens to reveal a simple but stylish interior with various drawers and a small arched door in the middle. The 4 graduating drawers have swan neck cast brass handles (not original) and crossbanding. There is a simple moulding at the bottom and the piece stands on stylish original bracket feet. Good size and good colour.
