George III Cylinder Bureau Bookcase

Description

Circa 1800, original George III cylinder bureau bookcase in figured mahogany, the astragal glazed top with rectangular and circular designs and surmounted by a crossbanded cornice. Inside are 4 adjustable shelves. The bureau opens to reveal a sliding writing surface, pigeon holes and a bank of 14 drawers with ormolu knobs. All standing on original turned feet.

Size 258cm high x 123cm wide x 63cm deep.
