A Very Rare Early Victorian Carved Oak Bombé Bureau

This is a very unusual bureau is superbly carved with acanthus leaves from solid oak, it has a carved fall, which is supported by a small drawer on either side beneath there are 3 long drawers graduated drawers, these have a bulging shape. Hidden inside the fall a superbly fitted interior with a small cupboard stationary drawers and pigeon holes and a secret compartment hidden in a well beneath a concealed slide

All the drawers have carved fronts, the Fall sides and top are also carved and the fittings are in Brass, it stand on bracket feet and comes with keys

This is a good old piece of furniture, it is in good condition there is a little shrinkage on one side but otherwise it is fine

The desk stands 40” high, 37” wide and it is 20” deep
