A fabulous Chelelbered or "Eagle" Kazak rug from Karabagh in the South Western Caucasus's.

Amazing wool and dyes and crisply drawn, classic 3 medallion design.

Despite its great age the piece remains in incredible condition, impossibly thick pile throughout with no repair other than over bound side cords.

One of the best Kazaks I've had in nearly 40 years.

A piece that should excite the connoisseur, Circa 1850
