Description

An early 20th-century pine pedestal desk with a warm, naturally aged surface and a practical nine-drawer arrangement. The broad rectangular top retains visible grain, wear and tonal variation from use, while the façade is organised with three frieze drawers above two pedestal banks, each containing three further drawers. Brass swing handles with decorative backplates provide a traditional contrast to the pale pine drawer fronts, and visible dovetail construction reflects the straightforward cabinetmaking of the period.
