Antique Edwardian Mahogany Sideboard

1900 - 1920
Description

An Edwardian mahogany sideboard cupboard chest of drawers, of useful and well-proportioned form. Constructed in mahogany, the piece comprises a glazed cupboard with two adjustable shelves alongside an arrangement of seven drawers. The drawer fronts and cupboard surround feature crossbanded detail, with brass swan-neck handles throughout. The piece is complete with its original working key. Raised on turned bun feet and finished with a raised upstand to the back.

CONDITION REPORT:

In overall lovely antique condition, commensurate with age and use. There is some fading to the top, together with minor scratches and surface marks throughout. There is a small area of historic veneer loss to the front edge of the top, as pictured. The drawers open and close correctly and the cupboard door is complete with its working key. Overall, a lovely example with good colour and condition.
