Antique King Sized Bed

1900 - 1920
Description

A stunning and substantial walnut bed dating from around 1900, with a beautifully carved crest, rich colour and a wonderful aged patina. The impressive craftsmanship and generous proportions give this bed a real presence, while the original detailing adds plenty of character.

The side rails have been converted to accommodate a UK standard king-size mattress. The bed comes with a base please see last image as an example sometimes the base sits inside the rails sometimes on the rails

A big, heavy and wonderfully imposing bed, measuring approximately 150cm wide. A truly special antique piece with exceptional warmth, colour and character.

For 35 years, I have specialised in selling and restoring Antique French Bedroom furniture. Each piece is meticulously revived to enhance both modern and classic spaces. All of my carefully selected goods are purchased with love and care, ensuring the highest quality for customers. Nestled in the serene French countryside, all items are stored in our charming residence before being transported to my small rural storage unit in Gloucestershire (5 minutes from M5 Junction.9 ). I am happy to offer assistance in arranging transport or provide options for easy collection.
