A French Walnut Desk C1880

Description

A French Walnut desk dating from around 1880. The top to this beautoful desk is serpentine shaped with abundant marquetry inlay and an embossed and moulded edge with Gilt metal mounts to each corner. It has two Oak lined drawers to the front with Gilt escutcheons and marquetry inlaid drawer fronts. The lip to each side are also marquetry inlaid and the desk will free stand in any position of the room. It stands on cabriole legs with Gilt metal mounts to the top and the bottom and stands on castors.

Measures: Height: 29" x Depth: 27" x Width: 42.5"
