Antique Victorian Mahogany Chest of Drawers

Description

A charming Victorian mahogany chest of drawers with particularly pleasing proportions and a lovely warm, rich colour. The chest has a moulded rectangular top above three generously sized graduated drawers, each fitted with turned wooden knobs and circular escutcheons. The sides are attractively panelled, adding a little extra detail to what is otherwise a nicely restrained Victorian design. Raised on simple bracketed feet, the chest has a substantial but relatively compact appearance and retains plenty of character from years of use.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use. There are various scratches, knocks, marks and areas of staining throughout, including noticeable staining and marks to the drawer fronts as pictured. Further surface wear and variation in colour to the timber, all contributing to its aged character and not detracting from the overall appeal. The drawers run well and the chest remains solid and sound overall.
