Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Regency botanical watercolours from the early 19th century typically feature meticulous floral arrangements or plant specimens rendered with fine detail. These works were popularised by an increased interest in natural history, horticulture, and personal artistic composition during the period.

Period artworks were frequently set in frames featuring light-coloured timber veneers, such as birds-eye maple or burr birch, often paired with a gilded inner slip. The frames frequently included cast brass suspension rings mounted at the top for wall hanging.

Authentic period watercolours show subtle hand-painted pigment variations, age-appropriate paper discolouration or light foxing, and natural wear to the timber frame. The presence of period mounting techniques, original backing paper, or historic frame fittings helps confirm age.

Small framed watercolours work effectively when hung as part of a curated gallery wall or paired alongside classical architectural elements. They add warmth to contemporary spaces when displayed in narrow wall sections, above desks, or adjacent to mantlepieces.

Protect watercolours by framing them behind UV-filtering glass and hanging them away from direct sunlight and moisture sources. Clean the outer frame using a dry microfiber cloth, avoiding liquid polishes or chemical cleansers near the paper.
