F E Anderson Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The fall front, with centre lacquer panel and fine inlay, opening to reveal an interior with shelves, drawers and centre rising door above the writing surface which retains its original green baize inset. The doors in the base open to reveal an interior with single shelf and the cabinet has canted corners with fine inlaid decoration, the ends with parquetry inlaid panels, all standing on square tapering legs with brass ball feet. Fine original colour and patina, a useful piece of furniture, the writing height is 76.5 cm and the depth with the fall down is 91cm. Probably French, Circa 1820.
