A rare dated Victorian bronze pint measure.
It is made by POTTER, LONDON and numbered 1592, it also features Customs & Excise stamps for Queen Victoria but these are very worn and only just visible ?These very fine quality measures were used by Customs & Excise to check that market traders did not under-sell their customers by supplying short amounts.
One dent on the back otherwise in good antique condition, 4.5” high and 3.5” in diameter
