Victorian Carved Walnut Chaise Longue

An elegant Victorian walnut chaise longue, dating from circa 1860.
The sweeping asymmetrical back rises to one side before flowing into a lower scroll arm at the opposite end. The shaped walnut frame is decorated with carved floral and scrolling detail, with a raised central crest and finely carved front supports.
The deeply buttoned back and generously upholstered seat are covered in a dusky rose fabric, finished with decorative braided trim. Raised on shaped legs, with the front supports terminating in brass castors.
A particularly decorative and graceful piece, well suited to a drawing room, bedroom or spacious reception area.
