Georgian Bureau Bookcase - Stunning Interior - c1780

An interesting large Georgian Bureau in Cuban Mahogany with an exceptional fitted interior.

The piece has lovely colour and is in great condition. Riding upon ogee bracket feet the bureau rises with three full width lower drawers and a twin pair to the upper. The drawers feature attractive Sheraton stepped oval half-moon handles.

The bureau fall opens to reveal a superb fitted interior. A central door with marquetry is flanked by slide out book-columns with gilt metal capping, drawers, under drawers, and cubby holes. A great range in fine order.

The writing surface presents an attractively tooled lambskin skiver in rich burgundy.

Overall a very pleasing Georgian bureau in good antique order.
