Description

A fine quality Edwardian figured mahogany bow front chest of drawers, dating from the early 20th century. Constructed in beautifully figured mahogany throughout, the chest displays striking book-matched veneers across the drawer fronts, creating an elegant symmetrical grain pattern that is particularly well defined on the graduated long drawers.

The chest is fitted with two short drawers above three full-width graduated drawers, all retaining their original brass swan neck handles with decorative rococo-style backplates and working locks. The gently bow fronted form is enhanced by finely moulded drawer edges, fluted canted corners and shaped bracket feet, giving the piece a refined yet understated appearance.

The drawers run smoothly and provide excellent practical storage.
