Georgian Bureaux - Fitted Interior - c1780
This mid-sized bureaux is presented in fine mahogany with a nicely fitted interior. The fall flap is beautifully presented with flame veneer, fine-line inlay and crossbanding.
The sloped writing flap opens to reveal an original un-leathered surface and very well fitted interior - offering a variety of letter slots, cubby holes and document storage. Flame veneered drawer fronts within are fitted with round pulls.
The mahogany is presented with nice patina throughout the bureau. Oak drawer linings, pleasing dovetails and cockbeading all show the quality of the piece. The drawers are all in good working condition.
The piece sits upon turned feet.
Overall an attractive English bureau in good condition.
