Antique Caucasian Fachralo/Karachov Prayer Rug is a vibrant example of tribal art, featuring a bold mihrab design. Hand-knotted from hand-spun wool, it showcases a luminous ivory central mihrab framed by a rich madder-red field and deep indigo accents. The graphic geometric medallions and traditional ''running dog'' borders are rendered in vegetable dyes, offering a soft striking aesthetic. Obvious wear, seems earlier than inscribed date.
