The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this 1930s Rotary Claridge Watch to the 1930s.
The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
The watch measures 22mm wide excluding the winding crown, and 30mm high excluding the lugs.
The case is rolled gold and is signed inside with the name Claridge, and also the initials SD for Sylvain Dreyfuss.

Rotary Watches Ltd was established at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, by Moise Dreyfuss in 1895. By the 1920s family members Georges and Sylvain Dreyfuss began importing Rotary watches to Britain, which was to become the company's most successful market.

The case is in good condition for such an early piece, just rubbing along the angled edges and light marking, but not too detrimental at all.
The convex lens is in good condition (some natural light reflection showing in the photos).

The dial is in its original finish with original hands. There is a shade or two of darkening but still easy to read the time.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
